Situated high on a hilltop, Radius Lester Heights Hospital enjoys expansive views of the Whangarei city and surrounding township.
A modern purpose built Nursing Hospital, Radius Lester Heights provides a high standard of medical nursing and allied health support to a range of residents with high needs.
Trained medical professionals and a registered nurse are available on site 24 hours 7 days a week caring for residents and a G.P. is available 24/7. Physiotherapists, podiatrists, hairdressers and chaplains are regular visitors and family are encourage to visit often.
A fun and varied calendar of events means there is always plenty to do at Radius Lester Heights Hospital. Regular outings to other hospitals for morning teas, visits to the RSA, and a range of interesting excursions are arranged by an Activities Co-ordinator.
Popular in-house activities include visits from local school theatre and musical groups, involvement with the local SPCA and a range of arts and crafts activities.

Facility Manager – Lester Heights: Sue Billington
Experience in Aged Care: 14 years
Sue has felt honored to be part of many successes resulting in improving and creating home-like environments for older people and her goal is build on the homely feel at Radius Lester Heights so that family, friends and children continue to visit and the residents in turn are enriched by these visits.
Her hobbies include camping with family, rock fishing, walking her dogs and yoga.
