Set in the picturesque Bay of Islands, Radius Baycare is located in a beautiful peaceful rural park setting at Haruru Falls just a few minutes from Paihia.
Radius Baycare integrates the best of home living and ongoing hospital care that caters for our older adults, and in some cases younger people requiring special care.
At Baycare we encourage residents to bring their favourite possessions to help personalise their room so they remain as much as possible with familiar surroundings. Family and friends are always welcome to visit at anytime.

Facility Manager – Baycare: Pamela Hughes
Experience in Aged Care: 20+ years
Pamela Hughes’ nursing career started in 1965 at The Tauranga School of Nursing. Pamela has been in Aged care for the last 20 years and at Radius Baycare in Paihia since 2006, firstly as a team leader, then a Clinical Manager and now as Facility Manager. Pamela has a real passion for providing the best aged care for her residents and finds it very rewarding.
In her spare time, Pam enjoys golf, gardening, Folk art Painting of toy boxes/ painting. Cross stitch embroidery. Collecting Christmas decorations for her three trees. Yes, she is a nutter when it comes to Christmas.
