Radius St Joans Hospital specialises in delivering 24 hour nursing care for the elderly who have long term or chronic illnesses and the young disabled.
Set in landscaped grounds, off Waipuna Road in east Mt Wellington, St Joans has extensive views overlooking Lake Waipuna – with views across to One Tree Hill, Mt Eden and Mt Wellington.
St Joans has recently installed a central courtyard playground area to help keep visiting children entertained.

Facility Manager – St Joans Akl: Jane Wager
Experience in aged care: 16 years
Jane entered Nursing as a mature student and loved every minute of it. In fact when she obtained her Degree, she still couldn’t stop learning. What followed, in quick succession, was more study, including Masters papers from the University of Auckland Medical School. Jane is amazed at where nursing has taken her and is excited for the future.
Jane’s hobbies include walking her dog, rollerblading on Tamaki Drive and exploring the beauty of New Zealand in her motorhome.
